One of my fondest memories as a little girl was visiting my aunt Doris and uncle Angel and going to a baking store and buying a strawberry cake in a box. I remember reading the directions with my uncle and swapping milk for water because he said it would “taste better”. I waited with such anticipation as my cake baked in the oven. It was the prettiest and tastiest cake I ever had. That day was the beginning of my love for cake baking.
Cakes and desserts became a hobby for me. I enjoyed making them for friends and family. There was a direct connection between joy and sharing a sweet treat. It just made people smile. So after many years in the corporate world, I decided I would try baking full-time.
I feel incredibly blessed to get to do what I am passionate about. Creating cakes for special occasions is a way for me to express my creativity and play a small part in someone's joyous event.
